For god's sake just put us all out of our misery and do it!!! I cannot imagine the countless number of hours i have along with many other dual sporter/ overlanders dreaming homologizing and refabricating. Painstaking hours in efforts short of our wildest fantasies, desperate to do the one thing no one manufacturer has, in earnest complied to do. Production dual sport rallye. High standard components, full accessoriezed availability. No skimping , no frills and no cutting corners. Quality, reliability and something we can be proud to chuck our leg over.......come on Aprilia, make our dreams come true once and for all.........

I have been using an Aprilia DS since 2003 and it's superb but a bit heavy. I have ridden both the 1200 and 800 GS over 13,000 kms in the Alpes both tar and dirt and neither has done it for me. Bring this on! If it weighs about 185kg wet has marzochi up front with cartridges Sachs out back with comp damping and switchable maps I'm on the beast :))

I've been thinking of converting a Dorsoduro for true dual sport adventure. I like the narrow V twin and relatively light weight. But, wheels, suspension changes, bags, hand guards, a real bash plate...it would just be too much effort. If Aprilia can do the right thing with the Tuareg, then they have, at least, one buyer stateside.

I would be happy to sell my 08 KTM adventure for this dream bike if they do it right! The KTM is a pig off road and is a pain to keep the services up to date.I want one.
