I think from 2006 and up ALL bikes have similar reliability records. Italian, German, Japanese, British. Your opinion on Italian machinery must be based on old perception that Italian things have style and soul, but no reliability. 

By the way I'm riding R1200GS this week just to make sure I fully understand it.</description>
