I just wanted to congratulate Grant Langston and Ryan Villopoto. Yesterday I witnessed these two riders clinch their AMA championships. I really wanted Townley to win in Lights division, but Villopoto beat him hands down. I’m wondering if these two will step up to 450’s next year and continue their rivalry.

In the beginning of the season nobody believed that  James “Bubba” Stewart could be defeated. His dominating wins were for sure extremely discouragin

g for his compettors. Fortunately (not for him, for spectators and other racers) he was out in the middle of the season with serious knee injury. This opened the window of opportunity for other riders and gave them the incentive to fight for Championshim crown. 4 guys came into Glen Helen run with the chance to become the champion. I was very impressed by Alessi’s speed, he was pushing very hard. After extremely exciting dice for the lead in first moto Langston came out on top, and with smart third in 2nd moto he became new AMA National Champion.

 I can bet Chad Reed is biting his nails since he made a decision not to participate in the outdoors season with the belief that Stewart will run circles around him and leave him no chances. Now he probably thinks he could’ve won the title. Pussy!

 And what’s up with Langston, is he trying to look like Billy Idol?
