Creature of Comfort - Alpinestars MX Thick Socks
written by sideout
It has been cold the last couple of months for riding out here in Southern California. I could not quite put my finger on why despite wearing my riding pants with a thermo liner my legs were still sort of cold. And then I bought riding socks.
The more I ride the more I get the feeling that each piece of gear is there for a reason. And my purchase of socks was a definite proof of that concept.

My legs were no longer cold, the socks kept my ankles nice and tight which ensured blood circulation. I was regretful that I hadn’t ordered them sooner and that I’d ordered only one pair. Fortunately the cold weather season is almost over. So I’ll definitely stack up with more socks by next winter, hopefully adding some Rev’it socks to my gear collection.

I was under impression you got Rev’it socks…. I have Alpinestars ones myself, however with my taller boots I rarely have to use them. Shopping for boots yet?

Undecided till next winter. Once I put these socks on I didn’t feel like I needed higher boots. Again my commute is not as long as yours and is 30 mins max.

Just keep in mind, boots play huge factor in your safety. First thing that happens when you crash in low shoes is you lose them. I would think that they are tight but they come right off.

So you are saying my Freestyle boots are not high enough?

You got that right. And your gloves are too short.
