Unfortunately my experience as a KTM owner has been very similar. I have a the same bike, a 950 Supermoto. The bike was purchased at Scuderia West in SF, a great shop. After moving to LA, I took the bike to Santa Monica for service. My experience very closely mirrored yours. The service dept there is incompetent, rude and highly likely to try and overcharge you. The service was not done correctly. No one was able or willingly to walk through what had been done in detail. It's clear that they do not know what they are doing and do not care. KTM should dump them as a dealer and recruit a better shop, like Pro Italia, to represent the brand in LA.

3 Brothers racing in Costa Mesa I live in the San Fernando Valley it is a 50 minute drive but by far the best motorcycle shop I have ever expierienced. KTM only .Well worth the drive after dealing with T.O. Santa Monica and Pasadena.Whens the last time you could walk into a shop and just ask a mechanic a question. Everytime I am down there I end up talking to the owner the parts counter person the mechanic, you feel totaly welcome, Check them out, a totaly enjoyable time

I'm from Windhoek, Namibia,Africa. We also had a 'Authorized' KTM dealer open shop here about two years ago. I recently took in my 950 for the 15 000km service. Was shocking as I received my bike back with 10x more defects than when I took it in. I bought KTM because its truly a specialized bike. The after market service outside Austria and Switzerland suggests otherwise! Also had a clutch slave failure less than 1k after the service. When I bled the system, what came out of there looked more like black coffee than mineral oil. These guys are bullshitting all of us! Writing to the big boys in Austria soon.
