The Prophecies of Motodisiac
written by motodisiac

Do you believe that one could predict the future? I know I can.
Yesterday afternoon I was driving my weekend car on Sunset blvd towards the ocean. For those not familiar with the area, it gets pretty twisty in some spots, with fast, flowing corners. However you cannot afford to make any mistakes since you have curbs, armco and traffic to deal with in case you make one.
As we are sitting at a red light, I see a group of riders coming up fast behind me. As they zoom by I count 3 R6’s and 1 CBR600RR. Their outfits reveal typical squids. Then I notice one more bike struggling to keep up with his buddies. It’s a rider on pretty beat Katana. His bike and body language say that he is new to world of motorcycles. I tell my girlfriend: “look at this guy, he is a newbie trying to keep up with his more experienced friends, we will see him crash before we reach the ocean” The light turns green, they rev up their engines, pop wheelies and disappear. A couple of miles later we see them again, doing their stop light start routine. In four turns they appear again, this time pushing the Katana out of the bushes on the opposite side of the road. I have no idea how he ended up there, but he was pretty lucky not to meet any oncoming traffic.
Moral of the story? Don’t be asshat!
