You probably know this already, but just in case. You should try as much as possible to stay out of other drivers' blind spots. Many drivers don't turn their head before making a maneuver. Tractor-trailers are the worst. Any time I pass one I try to get out of the spot next to it as fast as possible.

How blind should she be, I am riding right next to the woman, not behind her :).
I know what you are saying though and always try to make sure they see me before I make a move.

I know your pain. Driving my R6 after 12 years without a bike for a week and the best defense against blind drivers is the speed and if I have the feeling that he doesn't see me to rev the engine for a moment to 14k or so. Tends to wake people up.
Doesn't even bother to use the horn, it get's ignored anyway...

nice blog btw and you just cost me a couple of hours sleep, while I was reading it for quite a while :)
